[프로그램 소개]
Family Touch Junior Board are committed to make differences in communities by dedicating their time & talents. The Family Touch Junior Board consists of Youth from 9th-11th grade who are the future leaders of our neighborhood, communities, society, and country! Making an impact where we are, and training leaders who will ultimately educate and advocate for the health of their peers.

패밀리터치 주니어 보드는 지역 사회 변화와 발전에 기여하고자 모인 청소년 리더들의 모임입니다. 패밀리터치는 꿈과 열정을 가진 청소년들을 선정하여, 미래에 우리 사회의 지도자들이 될 수 있도록 리더십 개발 및 교육의 기회를 제공합니다. 주니어 보드로 선정된 학생들은 패밀리터치 청소년 정신 건강 프로그램을 위한 홍보대사로도 활동 하게 됩니다.

+ Term is for 1 year (Fall 2022 – Summer 2023)
+ Incoming 9th-11th Graders
+ Limited to 20 individuals
+ Application Submission
+ Individual interview Required
+ Complete Orientation (6:30PM 8/9/22)
+ Complete Training

Monthly Meetings
1 hour – Educational training or workshop
1 hour – Jr. Board Meeting
Community Project
Community projects will be held once every trimester (3 total per term). This is a creative opportunity to serve the community as a Junior Board team. Such as projects, volunteer work, event planning etc, the Junior Board team together from the beginning of framework and planning, to the finite details of the project, can take full ownership in order to carry out the project.
Leadership Camp
Mandatory to attend either 2022 or 2023 Leadership Camp. Using Sean Covey’s “the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens,” students are given a powerful overview of the 7 Habits in their language. This camp provides students with a step-by-step framework for improving social skills, self-management skills, communication skills, resisting peer pressure, and much more. The habits build upon each other and foster behavioral changes and improvement from the inside out. The purpose of the program is to help Junior Board members in an important time period so that they can establish goals and values of their own.
*10% DC for Jr. Board Members. If additional financial assistance is needed, the student need to submit a proof of family income documents
MBTI/Teamwork
Team building activities also work to improve projects that involve teamwork because it helps the teams understand each other better. After completing team building activities together, Junior Board members will better understand each other’s strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
Philanthropy Seminar
Understanding the importance and impact of philanthropy and nonprofit organizations in the community
Understanding Korean-American Heritage and your identity
Understanding self-identity is important because it strengthens your character. When we know who we are, have confidence in ourselves and are able to identify our strengths, we emerge as stronger individuals. As Korean-Americans, it keeps us unique and distinguishes us from everyone else but we first must be able to recognize our heritage.
Public Speaking
Public speakers motivate their listeners to make a change. It could be to stop or start something, try something new, or reach their goals. Public speaking is important because the speaker can motivate others to go in the direction they wish, and the speaker can motivate others to be their best selves. To advocate for mentally healthy youth, it is important that all Junior board members have the skills and knowledge of how to demonstrate effective public speaking.
Career Exploration
Career exploration Workshop teaches Junior Board members about possible occupations, and offers the soft-skills and workplace experience members will need for the future. Members can explore careers through this workshop and can be exposed to new career possibilities to examine.
Stress management workshop: Smart Brain Wise Heart
Online social and emotional learning program. Draws on the best of young people’s brains and hearts to help empower them to make smarter decisions, gain greater self-control, and navigate the academic and social dimensions of life with greater success.)
