A Theater-Based Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Program
[What Is Center Stage?]
Center Stage is a fun, engaging, and evidence-informed program designed to help children build confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy relationship skills through theater, music, storytelling, and mentoring.
Children learn best by doing, not by sitting still. Through acting, singing, role-play, and creative activities, students practice real-life social situations in a supportive environment where mistakes are welcome and growth is encouraged.

- Music + Theater Together:Children explore feelings and communication through acting, singing, movement, and storytelling.
- Mentorship Model :Small groups are supported by trained high school mentors who serve as positive role models and provide encouragement and emotional support.
- Evidence-Based SEL:The program aligns with CASEL’s five core social-emotional learning competencies and is grounded in growth mindset and drama-based approaches.
- Trauma-Informed & Inclusive:Center Stage is designed to be a safe, welcoming space for children from diverse backgrounds, where effort matters more than performance.

[Program Details]
- Eligibility: 7-12yrs old
- Date: Fridays | March 6 – April 17 *6 sessions · No class on April 3
- Time: 4:30-6:00 PM
4:30–5:15 PM – Improv & Acting
5:15–6:00 PM – Musical Theater
- Tuition:Free Tuition/$50 deposit

Professional performer (NBC, CBS, FOX, Comedy Central, Netflix) with over 20 years of experience teaching improv and acting to children.
Jane Keitel – Musical Theater
Professional actor, musician, and teaching artist with extensive experience in youth musical theater across New Jersey; Actors’ Equity member.

[Center Stage 란 무엇인가요?]
Center Stage는 연극, 음악, 스토리텔링, 멘토링 활동을 통해 아이들이 자신감, 정서 인식, 건강한 관계 기술을 기를 수 있도록 돕는 재미있고 몰입도 높은 프로그램입니다.
아이들은 가만히 앉아 있기보다 직접 해 보면서 가장 잘 배웁니다. 연기, 노래, 역할극, 창의적 활동을 통해 학생들은 실제 생활에서 겪는 사회적 상황을 연습하며, 성장이 격려되는 안전한 환경 속에서 배웁니다.

아이들은 연기, 노래, 움직임, 스토리텔링을 통해 감정과 의사소통을 탐색합니다.
- 멘토링 모델
소그룹 활동으로 진행되며, 훈련받은 고등학생 멘토들이 긍정적인 롤모델이 되어 격려와 정서적 지지를 제공합니다.
- 근거 기반 사회정서학습(SEL)
이 프로그램은 CASEL의 5가지 핵심 사회정서 역량에 부합하며, 성장 마인드셋과 드라마 기반 접근에 토대를 두고 있습니다.

Center Stage는 다양한 배경을 가진 아이들을 위한 안전하고 환영받는 공간으로 설계되었으며, 결과보다 노력과 과정을 더 중요하게 여깁니다.

[프로그램 정보]
- 대상: 7-12 yrs
- 요일: 3/6-4/17/2026, 매주 금요일(6주, 4/3 휴강)
- 시간: 4:30–6:00 PM
4:30–5:15 PM —즉흥극 & 연기
5:15–6:00 PM —뮤지컬 수업 - 비용: 무료(보증금 $50), 4회 이상 참석 시 전액 환불, 첫 번째와 마지막 수업 필수 참석

뉴저지 전역에서 청소년 뮤지컬 교육을 지도한 경험이 풍부한 전문 배우, 음악가, 티칭 아티스트로 Actors’ Equity 회원입니다.
